To All Advocates: The Ohio Council of Churches has joined with the
United Methodist Church to strongly oppose the so-called Learn and
Earn Ballot Issue. As most of you know, they have consistently tried
to hide the fact that the funds for their college tuition is derived
from the losses of Ohio families at slot machines at racetracks and
casinos in Cleveland. They also fail to make voters aware that the
owners of the casinos and racetracks will get 61% of the money and
the scholarships only 30-%. 
The VANTAGE coalition has been created to take contributions and to
lead a grassroots effort to defeat this initiative. Every week we
will send out a different message as to why voters should oppose this
issue and we hope that you will share it with your email list.
